Mary Fey, PhD, RN, CHSE
Mary Fey, PhD, RN, CHSE, has been working in the field of clinical simulation since 2007 and has been responsible for developing clinical simulation programs, integrating simulation into nursing curricula, and designing and building simulation labs. The co-author of the Standards of Best Practice for Simulation: Standard VI, The Debriefing Process, Dr. Fey has completed both qualitative and quantitative studies on debriefing. She regularly provides faculty development to interprofessional groups of simulation educators in academic and acute care settings.
Dr. Fey serves on the research committee of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation in Nursing (INACSL). As of June 2016, she will be a member of the Board of Directors for INACSL. She also serves on the Certification Committee of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSIH).
Dr. Fey holds a PhD and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Teaching from the University of Maryland. She received her debriefing training from Harvard’s Center for Medical Simulation in Boston and is currently completing a post-doctoral fellowship there.
