This course is an easy-to-use summation of expert thinking about best practices for writing multiple choice test items. The focus will be on writing test items for nursing exams at higher cognitive levels, i.e., application, analysis, and evaluation. This is particularly important as a reflection of the types of items on the licensure exams. Some discussion also included alternate format test items. The workshop is composed of methods of didactic, small group work, and sharing the work with the larger group.
